| 12. RIPLEY’S FIELD PRESERVE
As is the Tisbury Meadow Preserve, the Ripley’s Field Preserve is a history of the glaciers: differences of up to 70 feet in elevation are found among this property’s many valleys and hills.
nature study, hiking, picnicking, mountain-biking, horseback-riding, dog-walking (town bylaw requires leashing at all times), hunting (with permission), cross-country skiing.
Start up the Lamberts Cove Road from its lower end (in Tisbury), turn left 0.7 miles up the road onto the John Hoft Road and left again a few hundred feet later into the preserve; trailhead and bicycle rack are located here.
