Description
A missing link — not just any link, but one of singular beauty — in the planned cross-West Tisbury trail was secured with the conservation of this property. As a result, a continuous public trail of some four miles in length will be in place from Duarte’s Pond on the Lambert’s Cove Road to the Old County Arboretum opposite the town school. The land’s chief appeal, however, is its active and expansive farmfields. Hikers will appreciate the contrast between the dry, open plains here against the sopping wetlands on the abutting Wompesket Preserve.

Uses
Nature study, hiking, picnicking, mountain-biking, horseback-riding, dog-walking (leashing required April 1 - August 31 and thereafter in certain posted areas), hunting (with permission); the trail connection between this property and the Wompesket Preserve is expected to be open in the near future.

Directions
Start at the intersection of the State and Old County Roads. Continue south 0.1 miles down the State Road; driveway is on the right, which leads to the trailhead.
