When best to visit? On late-afterrnoon summer days, when the light funnels up the Lagoon Pond and strikes this beach.  Half of the trail loop extends down the length of the sand and the balance returns visitors to the trailhead along the edge of the backside tidal pool.

Start at the main entrance to the hospital; travel 0.1 miles in the direction of Vineyard Haven and turn left into the trailhead.  Additional parking is also available on the opposite side of the Beach Road at Eastville Point Beach; after parking and crossing the road, visitors will find stairs leading them down into the land bank preserve.
