Size
20.4 Acres

Description
This edge-of-the-continent beach features a lateral view of the Gay Head Cliffs, a national historical monument, plus lively Atlantic surf. The land bank owns more than 2000 feet of coast here, both ends of which are marked; beaches to the east are private, while the town of Aquinnah allows access to its under-cliffs beach on the west.

Uses
Nature study, hiking, picnicking, fishing, swimming, scenic vista; town bylaw prohibits dogs from the beach.

Directions
Ride the island shuttle bus to the State Road loop and walk 0.4 miles down the Moshup Trail boardwalk to the beach. Bicycle racks are located on the beach itself and on the Moshup Beach Overlook (see property no. 20). Asphalt dropoff provided on-site; automobile parking is available in the municipal parking lot along the loop ($15/day in season). Mopeds must park at town lot.
