Park on the shoulder of the Herring Creek Road 0.4 miles past its split with the Katama Road.

Historical Highlights
- the 12 acres on the east side of Herring Creek Road were once run as a chicken farm — 8000 to 10000 pullets spent the summers in little huts across the preserve.
